Practice Scenario #1

This scenario is based on the experiences of many students. Please read the scenario, and attempt to identify the problems in the interaction, and ways it could be improved.

Scenario

A student shares their pronouns with the class at the beginning of the year. They are he/they. Another student asks, “So, are you a boy or a girl?” The teacher quickly moves on, and only refers to the student using he/him pronouns.
